Apple’s executive team will no doubt be fuming this morning, as Bloomberg reported that a senior Apple engineer and antenna expert voiced concerns about potential reception issues with the iPhone 4 due to its antenna design in the early phases of the hardware design process, citing a source familiar to the matter.

Bloomberg is reporting that “someone familiar with the matter” is claiming Apple’s very own antenna expert, Ruben Caballero, warned the company of possible flaws that could have created the issues so many of you are currently experiencing – dropped calls and reception problems.

As we told you last night, Apple will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning (Friday) at 10am PST concerning the iPhone 4. Secretive as always, Apple simply didn’t give any more details about it. So with no USB drive packed with Steve’s keynote slides found in a bar this time, we’re left with speculation.

Apple is really having a tough time over the (faulty?) design of its new iPhone antenna. Yet, we are all hopeful they won’t hold a grudge. If they do, I’m afraid the iPhone 5 might look much like what you see in the photo above. Then we all lose.

While Apple is still somewhat ambivalent at its highest level about the new iPhone’s antenna issues, it’s not leaving those on the front lines without some sort of guidance.
